Preservation and art memory in front of volatilit
The project, Stability x instability in digital art: preservation and art memory in front of volatility, searches to think about digital art from the issue of preservation and memory of art works. Technological advances affect the predominant form in continuity, adaptation, innovation and / or discontinuance of developed artworks, challenging digital art to remain accessible and to exist over time. The project discusses and establishes concepts about some digital art works in order to understand whether they can be classified as stable or unstable. It also discusses the need of memory and preservation of art produced under the advances of modern technology, since it has become reference and been accepted as a unique field in the arts. Seen as a field that grows from the margins to the center of the art world, the need to preserve and hold the memory of digital art as something to be included or strengthened in the construction history of the arts is important and urgent in the face of advances in media which form them.
