Art preservation and memory in the face of volatilityThis study aims to discuss and establish concepts on which we can categorize digital artwork. Thus, we aim to understand whether the digital works can be grouped as stable, and which could be considered unstable, demonstrating the difficulties regarding the preservation of digital collections.
Sala de Estar: a curatorial space for access to art and culture at Escola GuignardSala de Estar is an extension project that promotes the engagement of students, technical and administrative staff and faculty members of Escola Guignard. It started, initially by students, in 2015, proposing experimentation of curating art and culture practices. Acting in an extensional way, it led to the occupation of the entrance hall of Escola Guignard, by the students aiming curatorial actions through calls for artists and artistic works in thematic notices.
Perplexa ExhibitionThe Perplexa Exhibition takes place since 2009, with two editions each semester, totalizing four annual events. Always within the scope of the disciplines: Introduction to Performance and Performance, offered at Escola Guignard-UEMG, by professor Marco Paulo Rolla, the show aims to create collaborative and creative networks among students and to train artists aware of all the processes involved in the preparation and execution of projects.
Organized by the research groups Labfront (UEMG) and Musaetec (UFMG), the Hyperlinked Museums Journey occurred on the 17th of May 2018, with 2 round tables and book releases by the end of the day.

Curatorship seen in relation to digital technology: exhibition design as an arcadeThe main goal of this project, is to study the space for exhibition design facing the presence of digital technology. As a consequence, we intend: to discover new ways of thinking about exhibition design in contemporary context; to research the changes in this new configuration of the pace; to think about curatorship and its role in the context of exhibition design in the presence of digital technology; to think about the relationship between art, technology and science; to approach the ludic nature of interactive digital installations.
Olhar Aprisionado: research and development of interactive interfaces in diverse realitiesThis research project intends to investigate interactive interfaces that develop, in some way, the imprisonment of the visual perception. We develop artistic works in immersive virtual reality. We study augmented, virtual, diminished and mixed realities in the field of digital art. This research is exploratory and aims to prepare the team for a larger project addressing the immersion in diverse realities from a conceptual point of view.
Perplexa Exhibition: ArchivesThe objective of this proposal is to keep the exhibition website construction up, to catalog the works developed in its editions and mainly to spread its existence out from UEMG to the society in general.
Immersive Photography WorkshopThe workshop offered to its participants, knowledge and practice on immersive photography with the goal of exploring the panoramic, spherical, and 360º image in a context of museums. The workshop proposed the creation of virtual visits utilizing immersive techniques through photographic cameras, 360º cameras and cellphone cameras and tablets' registers. The participants also learned how to create cardboard virtual reality glasses.

Institutional Extension Programme: Rights to Production and Access to Art and CultureA dialogue with culture policies of the state and federation, in order to establish a critical participation of the University. Mapping the production of art and culture inside the university and strengthening these productions, as well as enabling interaction with different cultural productions. Identification, dialogue and publication of projects and culture/art events at the University. Identification of the University's potential for extension projects aimed at expanding the right to production and access to art and culture of lower classes. Coordination of the construction of a cultural policy at UEMG.
Rodadas LAB | FRONTRodadas Lab | Front are rounds of discussions held every six months on topics of interest to the group. They happen every semester when artists, scientists, technologists are invited to give a lecture. Our speakers come from different fields, such as arts, research, science, university, engineering, and also professionals from different sectors of local and national production/creative scene.
Artistic Residencyonections on digital/material, between culture, design and heritage, between technology and people. Using as a start point Candido Portinari's pannel “Civilização Mineira” (1959), that is displayed on Casa Fiat de Cultura, with its colours, lines and inspirations connecting with the urban scene of Belo Horizonte, in an interface between materiality/virtuality. A project thought, from the very beginning, through collaboration. Pablo Gobira, professor of post-graduation in Visual Arts at Escola Guignard (UEMG), is a benchmark researcher in digital arts, and was the residency curator, bringing an academic and contemporary art point of view as an inspiration font to amplify and deepen the artistic experiences.
MULTI|LABMulti|lab is an extension project of Escola Guignard that comes from the group's discussions on the poetics of borders. Its main goal is to contemplate audiovisual as a plastic language and explore its possibilities on the fine arts' field. Some interests are on the limits between languages, possible fusions thinking, for example, on the movies as one of the elements of video-instalation.

Digital Art Digital Literacy: Art Producing New Realities in Basic EducationThis proposal seeks to promote digital literacy, often recognized as "digital alphabetization", in basic education. More specifically, we will promote a digital literacy action involving teachers (and, from these teachers, we intend to reach the students) focusing on the knowledge related to the recognition of the relations between art and technology, as well as the development of digital art experiences.This proposal has as a primary goal to help promote equal opportunities in basic education through the creation of diverse realities to interact with the socially constructed reality in the daily life of teachers and students through experiences with digital art.
Creative Residency DigitalBased on a proposal of partnership for development in artistic and technological research, exchange of experiences, promotion and dissemination of digital technologies, Laboratório de Poéticas Fronteiriças (LabFront: a research, development and innovation group that proposes to problematize the/at the borders and seeks to consolidate an area of research, artistic and theoretical production of knowledge, artistic languages, scientific and technological knowledge at UEMG/CNPq), Sucesu Minas/Inforuso 2019 and the Fab Lab Brasil Institute/FAZ Makerspace established a dialogue concerning the technological boundaries between the human and the digital.

New Realities: Artistic Interfaces and Construction of Realities
This project focuses on the broadening of conceptions of reality, opening possibilities for the field of relations between art, science and technology. The proposal also relates artistic production (creative production in general) with other dimensions of life, such as the production of knowledge, by developing new strategies and methods for creating works of art and other specific products for certain contexts.
International Congress of Art, Science and Technology and Digital Arts Seminar (CIACT-SAD)CIACT-SAD aims to understand, analyze and document the contemporary Brazilian situation of the use of technologies in the field of digital arts intersecting with the other areas in sciences, communication and public policies in this context. This is done from thematic axes and through the participation of diverse professionals, among them, teachers, researchers, artists, authors, curators and managers of organizations in the country. This way, the contribution to the field of technology, arts and communication studies is by gathering together professionals of the field into emerging discussions and development.
